Red Sports went live February 1st, 2007.
3,550 posts and 9 million page views later, we are 3 years old.
To our readers, thanks for keeping us company all these years and for sharing your stories with us.
During these three years, we have had five batches of writers and photographers come help out on the site and after spending some time with us, some of them have gone on for further studies or national service.
Some have enjoyed themselves so much they have stuck around and don’t want to leave. : )
With an average age of 20, they have kept Red Sports bubbling all these years and are the heartbeat of the site with their enthusiasm, talent and passion.
Hats off to you guys and girls, especially to those who’ve kept me company all these months and years.

Redsports is my favourite webpage, Les is my hero, and the people in bold feel like my adoptive children. OK, maybe not so much Ian…. 🙂
Certainly agree with you about waking up the mainstream media in their local sports coverage bit, Uncle Dick.
I don’t think it’s just me then who seems to notice that there are more initiatives these days in some mainstream media encouraging readers to send in stories on local sports/athletes. Which does sounds familiar… Where did I hear it before? “You send it, we post it?” Heh.
Thanks for all the good wishes, folks. : )
My Warmest Congrats to all at Redsports.
It seems so long ago that this adventure started.
I still recall the early days of the first few months of covering the school events, rushing home to bang away at my keyboard and trying my level best to put out the reports quickly.
Definitely…we beat most of the local papers as they did not have time nor space for most of the games we covered.
I think Redsports have woken them up a little…since then.
That in itself is already quite an achievement!
@van… i mean my new hangout spot ahahaha
Happy birthday red sports!
Happy Birthday RedSports!!! You have done a good job creating more buzz for our local sports scene..esp for schools. Keep it up.

I love Redsports! Because of you guys, I’m updated of the latest in the Singapore sports scene. Hope the coverage of YOG and The Cross Country and National Track & Field Championships will be great too! I love the pictures. They’re very clear and tells a lot. As it says, “A Picture paints a thousand words.”
@Emmanuel: Thanks. I know some of the crew are looking forward to cross-country season too : )
I’ll be part of the “they’ve gone on for further studies or national service.” in under 3 weeks!
@yvonne: You’re on the list for YOG. You have to help me backend. Cannot run away : )
Still active every now and then,
W.H.Y 🙂
@dazz: For which I’m grateful : )
