Clementi Sports Hall, Wednesday, February 3, 2010 – The first round of the B Division West Zone Basketball Championship wrapped up today with 12 schools making the cut.
In Group A, New Town Secondary finished with a perfect 5-0 win-loss record after beating Kranji Secondary 33-28 in a top-of-the-table clash. Kranji finished second with a 4-1 record.
In Group B, national championship favourites Unity Secondary also have a perfect 4-0 record. Hillgrove Secondary finished second to them after they received a 102-10 walloping at the hands of Unity.
In Group C, Jurong Secondary wrapped up first place with a 4-0 record, their hardest game being their 42-40 win against Hwa Chong Institution who finished behind them in second with a 3-1 record.
In Group D, Hua Yi Secondary finished first with a 5-0 record while River Valley High finished second on 4-1, losing their only game to Hua Yi 43-65.
In Group E, Bukit Panjang Government High finished with a 4-0 record while Nan Hua High finished behind them on 3-1. Nan Hua’s sole loss was a 42-58 reverse against Bukit Panjang.
In Group F, Bukit Batok Secondary finished top of the group with a 4-0 record. Tanglin Secondary finished second on 3-1, their sole loss coming against Bukit Batok (61-66).

May i knoe the teams qualified for 2nd round in the east side?
Group A had 6 teams, so if New Town was perfect, they had a 5-0 record, not 4-0
