CCAB, Friday, February 6, 2010 – The second round of the B Division South Zone Basketball matches got underway today, as Raffles Institution (RI), Peirce Secondary School (PS), Yuying Secondary School, Queensway Secondary and Singapore Chinese Girls School (SCGS) kept up their unbeaten run in the tournament.

In the Boys’ Group X, RI withstood a late-game charge from defending South Zone champions Catholic High to win 61-52, while Peirce scored the first 14 points of the game against Gan Eng Seng Secondary and eventually won 48-37.

In the Boys’ Group Y, Queensway were once again paced by Johann Yeo, as the 17-year-old led the team to a 59-45 victory against Fairfield Methodist Secondary School. In another match, Yuying beat Guangyang Secondary 53-34.

In the Girls’ Group X, Zhonghua Secondary beat Guangyang 49-32, while in Group Y, SCGS had a blowout 92-16 win against Mayflower Secondary School.
