Singapore Basketball Centre, Monday, March 1, 2010 – An imperious North Vista Secondary rolled over Christ Church Secondary 83-39 in their North Zone B Division Basketball Championship semi-final today.

Christ Church scored only two points the whole of the first quarter as North Vista put the squeeze on them.

The second quarter saw a mini Christ Church revival as they outscored North Vista 15-13 to trail 17-35 at the half-time break.

However, North Vista resumed normal service in the third and fourth quarter to wrap up a 44-point victory.

“Our hardest game so far in the North Zone has been against Yishun and we expect to meet them again in the [North Zone] final,” said North Vista captain Larry Liew.

“We played good defense, had good rebounding, and we did not have a lot of turnovers,” added North Vista vice-captain Jerry Lim. “Our toughest opponents in the nationals are Unity and Anglican [High].”

On their national championship ambitions, Larry said: “We are aiming for a top-four finish.”

North Vista will play Yishun Secondary in the zone championship final. Yishun beat Presbyterian High 74-58 in another semi-final.

The final between Yishun and North Vista will be played at the Singapore Basketball Centre on Monday, March 8th, 2010, at 3pm.
