Nuri's accurate cross-field pass picked out Nguyen Nhat Quang on the left flank. Nguyen crossed into the NUS High penalty area for Nuri who unselfishly laid the ball on for Ong Zhi Hao on the right whose fierce effort beat the goalkeeper at his near post.
NUS High's last opportunity was created on 79 minutes by captain Lian Kay Wee who went on a great run down the left flank before cutting inside and releasing a powerful shot which the goalkeeper pushed out of his bottom right corner.
That sealed the final result of 6-1 to RI which pushed the hosts into pole position in Group C, ahead of Serangoon Junior College on goal difference with both teams on six points from two games. Meanwhile, NUS High stay rooted to the bottom with no points to show so far from their three games played.
In the next Group C fixtures scheduled on Thursday, April 1st, Nanyang JC will take on Jurong JC at 3pm while NUS High will take on traditional powerhouses Anglo-Chinese JC at 4.45pm.
Both games will be played at Serangoon JC.

Go to the SCHOOLS FIXTURES & RESULTS page for more information.
RI number 11 is Varun Vijayraghavan (not Varun Vuayraghavan)
[Mistake: Varun Vuayraghavan screwed the first shot of the game wide of the right-hand post after a cross from Nguyen Nhat Quang from the left on four minutes]
@thenitwas, thanks for the corrections. Changes made 🙂
Would like to point out that the actual name is Tran Trung Nguyen, not Tran Trung Nguyan. 😀
Thanks for the name correction, Jun Lem. : )
haha most ri players come from ri! only 2 players aren’t from ri
Wonder which sec schools most of the RI players come from. Understand that RI does not have B or C Division football team for more than 20 years already.
hmm best football players in ri arent all from football 😛
Nvm good job emman ?D
Mistake
‘it to Mitchell Keh who was running down the right flank. Mitchell’s accurate cross picked out captain Lian Kay Wee, who brought the ball down and shot with his second touch. However his shot was palmed away by RI keeper Benjamin Ng.
Substitute Jones Joy Panicker’s rebound attempt was then blocked, before midfielder Andre Tan’s attempt from outside the box sailed over the bar.’
MItchell Keh supposed to be Jeremiah Ho
Jones Joy Panicker supposed to be Mitchell Keh
thanks.
