Anglo-Chinese School (Independent), Monday, April 5, 2010 - Temasek Junior College thrashed Anglo-Chinese JC 8-2 in an A Division Girls Water Polo match.
Both teams started off aggressively with each managing to hold off the other. TJC finally broke the stalemate when Karon Chan (TJC #7) scored with 1 minute and 35 seconds left on the clock in the first quarter.
The floodgates were now open and TJC scored three more goals in the second quarter. Lee Yihui (TJC #2) scored early in the quarter, before Christy Lee (TJC #6) put in two goals for TJC to command a healthy 4-0 lead at half-time.
It was an aggressive match with both teams trying to out play each other. Michelle Tang (ACJC #3) finally put in one goal for the team three minutes into play. However, Wu Zhekang (TJC #5) scored just 20 seconds later for the onslaught to continue.
Lynn Chong (TJC #11) and Zhekang (#5) subsequently put in two goals in the last two minutes for TJC to lead 7-1. Michelle (ACJC #3) then scored her second goal of the afternoon just 41 seconds from the end of the quarter for the score to stand at 7-2.
The fourth quarter was a clean one with no ejections. Christy (TJC #6) scored her third goal of the afternoon with a goal 3 minutes 42 seconds from time to seal the match.
