Kallang Tennis and Squash Centre, Tuesday, April 27, 2010 – In a sharp contrast to last year’s final against Raffles Institution, Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) comfortably brushed aside a valiant Hwa Chong Institution 5-0 to retain the boys’ B Division Squash Championship title.
Then, ACS(I) had to come back from being 0-2 down after the first two ties, win a pulsating third tie before securing victory with a 3-2 scoreline. This time, ACS(I) totally dominated proceedings and managed to sew up the championship after the first three ties.
Up against technically and tactically superior opponents, it would have been considered an achievement if any of the HCI players were able to win a set in their respective match ups. In the end, the ACS(I) players proved too strong as they registered their second consecutive squash double with five straight-set victories.
With a team featuring both Darren Subramaniam and Pang Ka Wai, current year 3 students, and members of this year’s C Division winning squad, ACSI appear to have a vice-like grip on the B Division crown for the next couple of years.
In the girls’ final, Singapore Chinese Girls’ School beat Raffles Girls’ School 4-1 to win the B Division crown.

err, for the last match I think it should be Royston Raymond vs Koh Jun Wei instead of nicholas teh.
Thanks for the correction, guys.
Thanks for the post! But for the last match, it is Nicholas Teh, and even so, he did not play that match, it was Koh Jun Wei.
I am proud that the effort put in by the squash team from my school, ACS (independent) has paid off with this hard-earned victory over HCI. also, i can finally have my banana
