Jalan Besar Stadium, Wednesday, May 12, 2010 – Saint Andrew’s Junior College (SAJC) sealed their victory over Meridian Junior College (MJC) with a double within the last seven minutes to secure third placing in the A Division Girls’ Football Championship.
Just when the game looked to be going into extra time, SAJC broke the deadlock through Chermaine (SAJC #24), who managed to get her foot to the ball during a mad scramble at MJC’s goal line. All hopes of any comeback by MJC were further dashed when Suria (SAJC #11, captain) fired one past MJC’s custodian in a one-on-one situation in the final minute of stoppage time to secure third placing in the championship.
Here is a picture story of the happenings from the match.
Enjoy.
