If Redsports readers want more info on WHO will WIN the World Cup…you can check out my detailed post that will give you a factual account of how past winners were predicted with astounding accuracy! Like ITALY in 2006!

Personally I think this World Cup being in held in the African Continent( for the 1st time)will not see an African winner. The African teams are still not as sophisticated as the past winners and near winners. Same for Asia’s bigwigs Korea and Japan.
That leave only the S Americans and Europe.
My winner: From this 4 teams…Argentina, Brazil, Spain and Germany.
After watching England against Mexico this morning, even though England won 3-1,…they would have been hammered silly had they played any of my top 4!
@yizhe, yeah i agree they dun really have “world class defenders” except Giovanni Van Bronckhorst but hes old now. but then again, the dutch philosophy is to outscore and overpower their opponents. Afterall it was Ajax that invented the style of total football that Barcelona, and to some extent Arsenal are famous for today! I just think the dutch deserves more respect ! Spain and Holland have always been considered under achievers, but spain has recently shed that image ! so who knows, maybe Holland might pull a nice surprise in the WC ! 😉
@Les, I just could’nt agree more ! its sad that La Liga and Serie A just cannot publicise themselves as much as the EPL. Otherwise, the EPL will be blown out of the water !
Well, look out for our preview of the Holland team coming up and feel free to add your thoughts to the mix!
How England can have the third highest votes is just beyond me ! Vastly over-rated and over-hyped team ! and how people can just underestimate Holland who has a star studded team with Van Der Vaart, Van Persie, Robben, Sneijder and Huntelaar!
i agree that Holland does look good, but noticed all the players you mentioned are forwards or attacking minded players. They’ll have to do something about their defense.
England always suffers from over-hype because of the EPL. That is no surprise because their league gets a lot of media attention in Singapore. As a result, a lot of Singaporeans support England.
A lot of folks in Singapore don’t see some of the good players from other leagues and then when the world cup comes around, just watch the media describe a “new star” so-and-so from such-and-such a country.
What? Nobody voted for Honduras?
