South Africa, Monday, June 21, 2010 — It was a beautiful first half with both teams firing shots at each other and it looks as though it could be anybody’s game at that point. North Korea were much more confident both individually and as a team then.
However after the second goal went in, Portugal seemed to much for the North Koreans to handle as they began to gain momentum in their attack.
I would say it was a well deserved win and an important one as well for Portugal before they take on Brazil in their final Group G match. And as for the North Koreans, it was a very good experience getting to play against two of the best teams in the world in Brazil and Portugal despite their loss.
Man of the Match: Tiago
Tiago was certainly my man-of-the-match. He was one of the key reasons to Portugal’s victory with his beautiful diagonal runs and passes.
