South Africa, Monday, June 21, 2010 — Finally Spain showed to the world what they were capable of with their convincing 2-0 win over Honduras.
Honduras were outplayed by the Spaniards with their wonderful passing game which was a joy to watch. However, Spain’s failure to convert the many goal opportunities that were offered to them might haunt them should they suffer an inferior goal difference.
Honduras were off the pace in this match and were beaten by the better team. They still remain pointless after two matches played.
Man of the Match: David Villa
Stepped up in this game by scoring two goals after disappointing in the opening game. His penalty miss is a worry though.
