National University of Singapore, Friday, July 9, 2010 — The National University of Singaproe (NUS) thrashed Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) 20-0 on the opening day of the Asian Universities Water Polo Championship.
In a local matchup, the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) beat the Singapore Management University (SMU) 26-9, with Isaac Pung (#12) of NTU scoring six goals.
Nine teams from seven different countries are competing in this inaugural event.
In the women’s category, NUS went down 2-19 to China’s Peking University Founder Technology College (PUFTC), with Shauna Sim (#11) scoring both goals for NUS.
