Kuala Lumpur, Sunday, July 18, 2010 — Joshua Ling won the 200m breastsroke final in a time of 2:27.20 to capture Singapore’s second and final gold at the ASEAN School Games swimming competition.
Joshua had qualified for the final with a time of 2:31.79 in the heats.
Fellow Singaporean Ren Guan Ji finished second in 2:28.73.
Singapore’s other gold medal had come from Meagan Lim in the 100m butterfly final where she clocked 1:02.93.
Singapore picked up a silver in the 4x100m freestyle relay. The quartet of Dzulhaili Bin Mohd Kamal, Jeremy Kevin Matthews, Kevin Lim and Lim Ching Hwang clocked 3:35.27 to finish second behind Thailand (3:35.16).
Singapore finished fourth on the medal table behind Thailand (1st), Malaysia (2nd) and Indonesia (3rd).
