N.B. Nomination period extended to end of August, 2010.
It’s that time of the year – time to nominate your athlete of the year!
For this year, the bar has been set higher.
So how does an athlete get nominated?
To nominate an athlete, please state why he should be nominated. The reason is up to you.
After you nominate you, the Red Sports crew will take a look at the list and determine who should get into the final list for the readers to vote on.
So who deserves to be the 2010 Red Sports 100PLUS Athlete of the Year?
Let’s find out!

LEONARD CHUA.
CJC BASKETBALL TEAM.
GOOD IN DEFENCE WITH UNLIMITED STAMINA.
NO DOUBT THE BEST IN A DIV.
Deyi all the way !
Jason Tan Wei Jie, NJC Sprinter.
He started the sport in end of 2008, for a very late bloomer in track, within 5 months he made it into the finals for both 100m and 200m A Division.
He was the only JC1 boy then, in the 100m finals.
In 2010, he achieved a silver medal in 100m and was a finalist for 200m again.
Having zero background in track and making into the finals for sprints at his age, is often unheard of. He is not arrogant about his achievements and is a dedicated athlete in training.
R Avinash of ACJC for his 400m & 800m GOLD performances….a definite selection for YOG 2010.
Why give player to have a vote? People can anyhow use other people name to nominate themselves. I think best is ask teacher or coach to nominate player they think is good!
You wrote; “Why give player to have a vote?”
We are not voting yet. We are in the nomination phase.
Red Sports readers prefer the opinions of teammates and schoolmates.
As for nominating yourself, we will double check. So all those nominating, we will send you an email to verify.

Who are you nominating?
We’ve had feedback from readers that they don’t want their teachers and coaches involved in this nomination process. HAHAHAHAHA.
Ok. I understand.
So, now the nomination process is different. You nominate an athlete BUT You must put down a reason why the athlete should be nominated.
Then the Red Sports crew will determine who gets into the final poll for the voting.
Have fun nominating now (I hope).
