Singapore Sports School, Monday, August 16, 2010 — Amanda Lim was the sole Singapore swimmer who secured a spot in the evening semi-finals when she placed 12th in the women’s 100 metres Freestyle heats in the Youth Olympic Games swimming competition.
She clocked a time of 58.03 seconds.
Clement Lim just missed out a place in the men’s 200m Freestyle final when he finished 10th overall in the heats, but his time of 1 minute 52.17 seconds was good enough to better his previous personal best (PB) of 1:52.28 set at June’s National Championships.
Chriselle Koh also broke her PB in the women’s 100m Backstroke with her first leg split of 1:08.74 in the women’s 4 x 100m Medley relay. Her previous best was 1:09.43.
Amanda will swim in tonight’s semi-finals at 7.14pm.
