Sengkang Hockey Stadium, Saturday, August 21, 2010 — Singapore boys’ hockey team fell to a narrow 1-2 defeat to Chile in their fourth preliminaries match.

Matias Mardones (#7) opened the scoring for Chile on 15 minutes. Felipe Tapia (#10) extended Chile’s lead to 2-0 12 minutes later.

Mohd Haseef Salim (#4) pulled one back for Singapore on 50 minutes. Despite late pressure, Singapore could not find another goal to force a draw.
