Marina Reservoir, Saturday, August 21, 2010 — Wang Nan Feng placed 13th in the women’s K1 canoe sprint time trial in the Youth Olympic Games canoe-kayak competition.

She finished in a time of 1 minute 49.96 seconds. Hungarian Ramona Farkasdi was the fastest qualifier in 1:40.64.

The field of 22 canoeists will now move on to Round 1, where they will be seeded according to their time trial results.

Nan Feng’s Singaporean compatriot Brandon Ooi finished his K1 canoe sprint time trial in 1:34.59 in 14th place.

Nan Feng will race the first round at 3pm today while Brandon will be in action at 4pm.
