Sengkang Hockey Stadium, Monday, August 23, 2010 – Singapore succumbed 1-2 to Ghana in their fifth successive loss during the preliminary rounds of the Youth Olympic hockey event.
The unlucky Singapore went down at half-time with a late goal from Ghana’s pint sized Selom Kemevor (#14) with a height of 1.53m. Ghana added another goal nine minutes after the break through Abdul Rahman Anum (#9).
With over 11 minutes remaining in the game, Singapore’s hotshot Mohd Haseef (#4) found the target from a penalty corner to salvage a consolation for the host nation.
