Singapore Sports School, Wednesday, August 25, 2010 — Singapore’s Carol Lee qualified for the women’s 10-metre Air Rifle final after placing sixth in the heats.

The 18-year-old shooter, along with Croatian Tanja Perec, posted a score of 393, but the latter was fifth after registering more hits on the target’s inner ’10’.

Carol posted scores of 98, 100, 98 and 97. Germany’s Yvonne Schlotterbeck was near perfect in leading the qualifying field, scoring a 99 after three prior 100s to finish with 399.

The final takes place today at 12 noon.
