Changi, Sunday, October 17, 2010 — Mok Ying Ren and Rachel See were the fastest Singaporeans at the New Balance Real Run when they clocked 52 minutes 57 seconds and 1:09:05 respectively in the 15km open categories. Their respective categories were won by Kenyans Silas Muturi (48:09) and Eunice Nyawira (58:47).

Ang Chee Yong was the other Singaporean in the top 10 for men when he finished 10th in 58:11.

Two runners returned to defend their 2009 titles. In the women’s 15km veterans category, Itsuko Tanaka of Japan won in 1:07:35, slower than her time of 1:03:15 she clocked last year to win. In the junior men’s 10km race, Soh Rui Yong ran a 36:55 to win the category again. Rui Yong had to hold off Aldrich Lim who finished just 0:02 behind in 36:57.

The 15km route involved 4km of gravel, 0.6km of sand and 10.4km of taxiway and road while the 10km route saw 4km of gravel, 0.6km of sand and 5.4km of taxiway and road.
