“No point brooding over it,” a disappointed but sensible RGS captain Celeste Ang said. “It was good that we didn’t give up until the end.”
SCGS now have a perfect 6-0 win-loss record while RGS are 5-1.
SCGS, who last won the national championship title in 2004, now move on to the national round together with RGS, Zhonghua and St Margaret’s.
For St Margaret’s, who finished fourth behind Zhonghua after their 3rd/4th playoff match, this will be their second journey to the national championship.
“Effort, hard work, good CCA teacher, Mrs Tan,” said St Margaret’s captain Leah Warden on what had brought her team this far. Leah picked Dunman Secondary, Anglican High, Unity Secondary and Raffles Girls’ School as the schools most likely to finish in the top four.

There you go, the awesome Rafflesians:))))))))))))) haha, uncle Les:i find the article very scgs biased… and us Rafflesians literally came back with a ROAR at the near end with our cheers! and i was surprised the scgs people managed to win with more than 3/4 of the entire hall filled with rafflesians… but i think both raffles played very well
You’re welcome to send in your own version of the game, Michal : )

You send it, we post it.
Thanks for the names. Much appreciated. ; )
no prob:)
Hi. Being a sportsperson myself, I hope you don’t get the idea that having 3/4 the place filled green would have ensured RG the title. Outcomes are dependent on the teams’ abilities and fighting spirits, and the stronger team was evident in this game (as proven by SC).
Kudos to a game well played to both teams though!
