“My girls fought hard to the end,” said the CHIJ coach, Kok Mun Wai. “They made good drives and had good passes to our shooters. However, we could have taken more rebounds when Raffles’ shooters missed their shots. We could have also forced more errors from Raffles. My girls need to be stronger in their take for the balls.”
Looking forward to the national championship, she added: “I prepared my girls in such a way that they will peak in their performance during the nationals.”
Despite the win over CHIJ, Raffles’ captain Evangelyn Koh nonetheless viewed them as one of their strongest opponents.
“Singapore Sports School, CHIJ and Cedar Girls’ are our strongest challengers for the national championship.”
