Kallang, Sunday, March 20, 2011 — Raffles Institution beat Singapore Polytechnic 3-0 to win the A Division Boys category at the 14th Age Group Softball Carnival organised by the Singapore Recreation Club and the Singapore Baseball Softball Association.
Their C Division juniors emulated their feat by winning their final against Catholic High for a second Raffles gold.
In the A Division Girls final, Hwa Chong Institution scraped past favourites Raffles Institution 7-6 to place first.
70 Softball teams across all six school divisions took part in this five-day event held during the March holidays at Kallang.
The carnival is an event in the softball calendar that allows school teams to spar with each other in preparation for the upcoming national championship season.
