Toa Payoh Sports Hall, Thursday, April 21, 2011 — Cedar Girls’ Secondary edged out Raffles Girls’ School 3-2 to win the National B Division Table Tennis Championship.
Wang Ying Chao of Cedar Girls’ won her first singles game 3-0 but her teammates Chen Dan and Kek Ying lost their first doubles match 2-3, while Luo Na Na lost 0-3 in the second singles.
However, Cedar Girls’ evened up the overall tie at 2-2 when their doubles pair of Yi Chen and Si Yao beat their RGS opponents 3-0.
Qiao Yang then won the crucial third singles 3-0 to ensure that Cedar Girls’ went home with the championship title.
