Gabriel Soo of Nanyang Polytechnic profited from a miscalculation by Joshua Goh of NTU to take the men’s 10,000m win. The latter had sprint-finished on the penultimate lap, mistakenly thinking he was finishing. Gabriel took the win in 36 minutes 59.45 seconds while Joshua hung on to second place in a time of 37:11.33 — just under two seconds ahead of a fast-closing Justin Sim of NUS.
