The second set continued to be a hotly contested one as the teams were neck and neck right till the 17-16 mark.
Nanyang pulled a fast one over Anderson and went ahead to lead 20-17. Despite Anderson’s attempts, they could not stop their opponents from leading 24-20 after the former was unable to receive.
However, Anderson fought hard and made a comeback to trail by just one point at 24-23, prompting Nanyang to call a timeout.
It was certainly a huge disappointment in the next rally as a miscommunication between two Anderson players saw the ball unreceived, gifting Nanyang the final point.

Anderson will now need to win both their remaining matches against Dunman High and Yuying Secondary to qualify for the second round.
