Choa Chu Kang Stadium, Thursday, March 29, 2012 — The Hwa Chong Institution pair of Arivan Shanmugaratnam and Aaron Koh equaled their personal bests in winning the gold and silver medals in the A Division Boys’ Pole Vault at the 53rd National Schools’ Track and Field Championships.

Arivan finished first with a clearance of 4.40 metres, a height he first reached at the Singapore Junior meet two years ago. Aaron repeated his 4.30m clearance at this year’s Singapore Junior meet to win the silver medal. Raffles Institution’s Alex Yeo was third in a new personal best of 4.20m.
