Choa Chu Kang Stadium, Wednesday, April 4, 2012 — Shermaine Chia of Victoria Junior College won the A Division 100m Hurdles gold in a time of 17.06 seconds at the 53rd National Schools Track and Field Championships.

There were no heats for this event.

Shermaine only overhauled Jessica Tan of Raffles Institution just after the final hurdle to win the race.

Jessica was second in 17.13s while Yvette Chong of Hwa Chong Institution was third in 17.40s.

Shermaine also made it as far as the semi-finals in the 100m where she clocked 14.16s as the 16th fastest.
