PESEB, Friday, April 20, 2012 — Anglo-Chinese Junior College (ACJC) continued their winning streak when they beat Temasek JC (TJC) 2-0 (25-8, 25-12) in a Round One, Group D match at the National A Division Girls’ Volleyball Championship.
ACJC finish top of the group and qualify for the second round while TJC exit the competition after finishing in fourth spot. At the start, ACJC blitzed ahead to lead 7-0. It was only when Jiayu (ACJC #3) served into the net did TJC get their first point. However, TJC subsequently sent their next serve out of bounds for ACJC to continue their streak.
At the 15-3 mark, TJC called for a timeout but it was no stopping ACJC as they pulled ahead to win 25-8.
ACJC had a shaky start to the second set, allowing TJC to keep the score closed. However, ACJC soon recovered and pulled ahead from 11-8 to eventually win 25-12.
