CCAB, Wednesday, April 18, 2012 — Hong Kah Secondary School beat defending champions Jurongville Secondary School 4-0 in the final of the West Zone B Division Football Championship.
The result enabled Hong Kah to regain the title which had been held by Jurongville for the past three years.
Hong Kah, ably led by 2010 Youth Olympic Games stalwarts, Hamzah bin Fazil and Firdaus Sham, thus completed an amazing West Zone championship where the team has scored 67 goals and conceded none throughout.
The highlights of the final included a hat-trick from Hong Kah’s National Football Academy U-16 midfielder Iqram Rifqi and the late sending off of Jurongville’s coach Dilwant Singh to the stands.
Victory was even sweeter for Hong Kah as their C Division boys team had captured the West Zone C Division title a day earlier in their comprehensive 7-0 victory over Greenridge Secondary School.
