Bishan Stadium, Tuesday, April 30, 2013 — Nur Athira binte Mohd Rosechan of Seng Kang Primary won the A girls’ 100 metres gold in a personal best time of 14.48 seconds at the 54th National Inter-Primary School Track & Field Championships.
Said the 13-year-old winner, who had been training for four years: “I am proud of myself as I’ve done my best. There were people who didn’t believe in me, but I told myself to just aim for the gold.”
Coming in second was Divine Jamina Samson of Opera Estate Primary who clocked 15.08s to win the silver. Iris Ooi Zi Xin of Jiemin Primary was third in 15.25s.
The record for the event is 13.12s and was set by Eke Amaka, then of Balestier Hill Primary, in 2007.
