Bishan Stadium, Tuesday, April 30, 2013 — Elizabeth Tan of CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls’ School (Primary) clocked a time of 14.70 seconds to win gold in the D girls’ 100 metres at the 54th National Inter-Primary Track and Field Championships.
Regarding her win, Elizabeth said: “I feel really happy as I reached my two goals which were to beat Nanyang and to get gold.”
Elizabeth was consistently first in the heats and semi-finals of the 100m sprint.
Bernice Liew Yee Ling of Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary came in second with a timing of 15.01s while Dakshinnaah Paalu of Admiralty Primary was third just 0.4s later. Mindy Foo of Nanyang Primary was fourth with a timing of 15.49s.
The D girls’ 100m record is 14.48s and was set by Lyzette Yeboah-Kyeremeh, then of Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary, in 2011.
