PESEB, Evans Road, Monday, July 15, 2013 — Holy Innocents’ High defeated Bartley Secondary 24–15 in Round 1 of the South Zone C Division Boys’ Basketball Championship.
Holy Innocents’ led 15–9 at half time and their captain Myo Min Tun (#6) had a game-high 10 points.
Both teams played without the supervision of their coaches. “It was a better match than the previous two,” said Myo Mun Tun (#6), captain of the Holy Innocents’ High basketball team. Holy Innocents’ were beaten 105–16 by Peicai and 34–22 by St. Andrew’s Secondary.
“Although we are not able to proceed to the second round, we still played with a mentality to win, to make our coach proud,” added Jacques Ong (#9), vice-captain of Holy Innocents’.
Bartley also their first two games. They went down 7–29 to St. Andrew’s and 11–34 to Bishan Park Secondary.
