PESEB, Evans Road, Thursday, July 25, 2013 – Admiralty Secondary edged out Damai Secondary 14–10 in a Group C clash of the National C Division Rugby Championship. The win gives Admiralty their second win in the bowl competition and qualifies them for the semi-finals.
Admiralty led 7–5 at half time through a James Tan (#9) try that Hamzary (#16) converted while Damai got on the scoreboard through Abdul Ammar’s (#2) unconverted try.
In the second half, both teams traded tries. Syafawi (#36) went over for a try which Hamzary again converted for Admiralty, while Ammar got his and Damai’s second try of the game. Ammar’s try was again not converted, and this proved to be the difference between the two teams.
While Admiralty face off against Greenridge Secondary in their final group game to determine who tops the group, this loss dropped Damai to third in the group and left them out of the running for the semi-finals. Damai’s sole win in the group came against Bukit Batok Secondary when they won 50–15.
