If we can pick up any of the womens’ 50 Free or 200 Fly, we should pip the Thai women in gold medal count, especially since THA is not favoured to win these events (even though Jenjira Srisaard qualified 1st in the 50 Free).
If Joseph wins the 200 Fly, that should secure us the mens’ overall title also, even if INA wins the medley relay gold as expected.
But for top swimming nation overall, we should be safe. We are at 9 golds, with THA the closest at 6 golds
