The 2014 Institute-Varsity-Polytechnic (IVP) Games is seeing a new format for five team sports contested. The five sports are basketball, floorball, netball, touch football, and volleyball.
Only football remains unchanged from 2013. Twelve teams are split into two round robin groups, with the top two in the group advancing into the semi-finals.
For each of the other five sports, only the top three teams from the Singapore University Games (SUniG) and the top three from the Polytechnic-Institute of Technical Education (POL-ITE) Games now play in the IVP Games. Previously, all the polytechnic, ITE and university teams played together. There are five polytechnics and six universities, while ITE sends a combined team for these competitions.
For IVP 2014, the top six teams are divided into two groups. The three teams in each group face each other in a round-robin format, with the top two teams in the group progressing to the semi-finals.

Why not consider getting the A division basketball players involved as well since the competition currently comprises uni poly and ITE there’s only more reasons to include the jc kids as well! There are plenty of talent in the A division as well.maybe there can be an additional combine jc team for outstanding players in jc to compete at even higher levels.
