Bukit Merah Secondary School, Thursday, February 13, 2014 — Swiss Cottage Secondary beat Bukit View Secondary 18–4 in the National B Division Girls Floorball Championship.
Lee Rou Ci (Swiss Cottage #6) led all scorers with a whopping seven goals, while Tan Yun Xuan (Bukit View #28) led her team with two goals.
Swiss Cottage started out strong in the first period, racing out to a 3–0 lead. Nurin Qistina (Swiss Cottage #12) had a nice long-range goal from the right wing. The possession mostly stayed with Swiss Cottage, as they kept the ball in the Bukit View half. Tan Yun Xuan (Bukit View #28) managed to score a goal before the end of the period.
The second period saw Swiss Cottage dominate again as Bukit View were unable to clear the ball from their own half. Swiss Cottage showcased good ball movement, creating multiple opportunities that led to goals. Bukit View displayed more aggressiveness in this quarter as they fought for possession of the ball. This reduced the scoring attempts from Swiss Cottage.
The final period was a defensive masterclass by Swiss Cottage. They were completely impregnable, while their offence hummed on smoothly in the quarter, putting eight goals past the Bukit View keeper. Swiss Cottage eventually finished the game with a comfortable 18–4 score.
