St. Andrew’s Junior College, Tuesday, April 1, 2014 — Anglo-Chinese Junior College rolled over Anglo-Chinese School (International) 7–0 in their opening game of the National A Division Boys Football Championship.
ACJC are in Group D with Hwa Chong Institution (HCI), St. Andrew’s Junior College (SAJC), Dunman High, and River Valley High. SAJC beat Dunman High 3–0 in another group game.
ACJC had the majority of possession in the first half. Just 10 minutes into the game, ACJC were awarded the first penalty which was converted for a 1–0 lead.
In the 17th mintue, ACJC(#17) received a nice coner kick, but his effort went wide.
ACJC got their second goal in the 23rd minute when ACJC (#13) scored from inside the penalty box. Not long later, the ACJC (#7) scored the third in the 37th minute a goal. ACJC (#9) scored the fourth for his team to take a 4–0 half-time lead.
In the second half, ACJC played a fast paced game and did not allow ACS (International) any chance to break through. ACJC (#7) scored in the 57th minute to make it 5–0.
In the 73rd minute, it became 6–0 when ACJC (#7) scored a nice header for his hat-trick.
ACJC (#9) scored with another header two minutes before the end of the game to complete the 7–0 win.
ACJC assistant coach, Irufan, said, “1st half wasn’t up to their standard but they performed well in the 2nd half. They played to instruction and have good communication. I’m impressed by player #7’s performance, I believe so were the spectators.”
ACJC will play Dunman High next on Friday, April 4, while ACS (International) take on HCI on the same day.

#23 didn’t score and #10 didn’t take the penalty. Both goals were actually #7 so he has a hat trick
