Ryan of Singapore Sports School said, “It feels great. This is the first time I have actually won a gold medal in the National Schools championship. I’ve been sick the past few years, so I did not expect to win. This victory means a lot to me, as this is my first inter-school individual gold medal. I would to thank my coaches, because without their support, I would not be able to achieve what I did today. I would also like to thank my parents for supporting me during training, and my general managers.
Ryan was just 0.19s off his personal best.
