Republic Polytechnic, Wednesday, May 21, 2014 — Yishun Junior College (YJC) beat Tampines Junior College (TPJC) 7–0 to top their group in the National A Division Girls Floorball Championship.
YJC finished the group stage with a 6–0 win-loss record while TPJC are winless in five games.
YJC came out strong in the first period with Daphne Ong (#21) scoring an early goal. Daphne added one more just before the buzzer went off to give YJC a 2–0 lead going into the second period.
YJC scored a goal to begin the second half to lead 3–0 before a foul by Pang Hui Ping (YJC #12) resulted in a power-play situation but TPJC were unable to score. YJC then added another goal to take a 4–0 lead at the end of the second period.
YJC picked up three more goals in the third period to end the game with a 7–0 win.
YJC Captain, Siti Muliyanti (#26), said, “It was a good game. We controlled the game to our tempo and had a lot of possession. They managed to pressure us well.”

Hi, I believe you’ve spelt one of my team mates’ (YJC) name wrongly – it’s Ong Swee LING (#3) not Ong Swee LEE. This is not the first time this mistake has been made, her name has been spelt wrongly in several other articles as well. Please correct it, thank you!:-)
