Singapore Basketball Centre, Tuesday, July 1, 2014 — Christ Church Secondary (CCS) dominated Presbyterian High School (PHS) 77–8 to begin their North Zone C Division Basketball Championship season on a high note.
The victory puts Christ Church Secondary at the top of their group with a 1–0 win-loss record.
Christ Church scored 26 points in the first period to set the pace of the game, while holding Presbyterian High to just two points from free throws.
Christ Church picked up 15 more points in the second period while holding Presbyterian High to just two points.
Presbyterian High were unable to score any points in the third period and allowed Christ Church to score 14 points.
Christ Church outscored Presbyterian High 22–4 in the final period to seal the 77–8 victory.
Christ Church captain Eleen Chua (#11) said, “It was good. I feel that we can learn something from this game. We hope that we can become North Zone champions.”
Valentia Wong (#7), who was the top scorer with 16 points said, “It was okay. I expected myself to perform well.”
