Bukit Gombak Stadium, Tuesday, April 14, 2015 — Valencia Ho (#392) of Nanyang Girls’ High made her way to the top of the podium with a 12.53 second run to clinch her first C Division 80m hurdles title at the 56th National Inter-School Track and Field Championships.
In her debut, the 13-year-old entered the final with the fastest qualifying time of 12.95 seconds.
Ho (#392) and Singapore Sports School’s Raine Oh (#89), who finished second with a timing of 12.70 seconds, were the only athletes in the field to clock sub-13 finishes.
Oh’s (#89) teammate, Rachel Chin (#80) completed the podium, finishing third in 13.32 seconds.
The meet record of 12.33 seconds, set last year, is held by 15-year-old Tia Louise Rozario, who won the B Division 100m hurdles title in 15.19 seconds.
