Bukit Gombak Stadium, Tuesday, April 14, 2015 — Laura Tan of Raffles Institution clocked a time of 15.34 seconds, leading her to win the A Division girls’ 100m Hurdles event at the 56th National Inter-School Track and Field Championships.

The 100m hurdles (0.840m) record that was set by RI alumna Jannah Wong last year, stands at 14.69s. 18-year-old Laura was second behind Jannah then. This year’s timing is an improvement compared to the 16.17s that she had achieved last year.

Finishing after Laura and in second place was Naomi Tan from Hwa Chong Institution. Naomi ran the race in 15.83s. She was injured last year and her injury forced her to pull out from competing at the last minute. Teammate and third-placer Janine Foo completed it in 16.45s. She placed fourth in the same event last year.
