Choa Chu Kang Stadium, Wednesday, April 22, 2015 — Victoria School edged out Raffles Institution by just 0.06 seconds to take home the gold in the C Division boys’ 4×100 metres relay at the 56th National Inter-School Track and Field Championships.

A disqualification a year ago in the heats saw Victoria miss out on last year’s final. However, they came back this year with a bang to grab the gold medal from favourites Singapore Sports School, who were disqualified halfway through the race because of a botched takeover between the second and third runners.

Following closely behind were Raffles Institution in second with a time of 47.47s, while Hwa Chong Institution took the last spot on the podium with a 47.58s effort.

It was the slowest winning time in this event since 1996, when Victoria won the gold in 47.44s.

The C Division 4x100m record stands at 44.93s, set by Singapore Sports School in 2007.
