Clementi Sports Hall, Thursday, April 30, 2015 — Anderson Junior College (AJC) beat National Junior College (NJC) 75–67 to top Group B in the first round of the National A Division Basketball Championship.
With the win, AJC will head into the second round with a perfect 4–0 win-loss record, while NJC will also advance as this is their only loss.
Jason Lee (AJC #6) led AJC with 15 points while Han Jun Seo (AJC #7) and Lim Teck Leong (AJC #8) contributed 14 points and 13 points each. Wang Jia Yuan (NJC #7) had a game-high 16 points effort.
Lim Teck Leong (NJC #8) looked to set the tone early in the quarter, converting a wide open three-pointer right after the tip-off to give NJC a 3–0 lead.
Both teams traded baskets in the first quarter but NJC pulled away slightly to finish the quarter with a 14–10 lead.
Lim Teck Leong (AJC #8) checked into the game to give Jason Lee (AJC #6) some rest time and he gave AJC the 18–16 lead through two consecutive three-pointers.
Dylan Lee (AJC #12) added a three pointer to give AJC a narrow 28–26 lead at the end of the half.
AJC pulled away in the fourth period, leading by double digits for the last five minutes.
NJC could not contain a crafty Jason Lee (AJC #6) as he raced up and down the court with ease, scoring basket after basket, utilizing his agility to overcome his physical disadvantage in size.
NJC fought hard but a more poised AJC team eventually took the eight-point victory.
