Bishan Stadium, Wednesday, June 10, 2015 — Aizat Muhammad Jufrie clinched a bronze medal for Singapore in the final day of the 28th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games artistic gymnastics tournament.
Aizat delivered a strong performance, earning 12.833 points to finish 1.3 points behind Malaysian runner-up, Jeremiah Loo Phay Xing. Timothy Tay, Singapore’s other representative, was just 0.267 points behind at 4th place.
On his medal-winning performance, Aizat Muhammad Jufrie said, “I would say my friends, my family and my supporters (kept me going). It was great competing on home ground. It really motivates me and pushed me on. It’s a really proud moment to compete in front of my family and friends.”
Phuong Thanh Dinh from Vietnam claimed the title with 14.233 points while Jeremiah Loo Phay Xing from Malaysia claimed the silver with 14.133 points.
