National Stadium, Friday, April 29, 2016 — Reuben Lee of Singapore Sports School took home the gold medal after clocking 11.36 seconds in the C Division boys’ 100m final at the 57th National Schools Track and Field Championships.
Reuben’s teammate Mohamed Haziq B Mohamed Yazli finished second in 11.88s while Mohamed Ishal Zikang Bin Mohamed of Raffles Institution came in third in 12.08s.
When asked about his race, Reuben said, “I felt great as it was the first time I was running at the National Stadium with so many schools present. It was my new personal best timing. I would like to thank my coach, my family, and friends for being there to support me.”
Singapore Sports School alumnus Shahrir Anuar holds the C Division boys’ 100m record of 11.29s that was set in 2007.
