N.B. Slugging average is a weighted average which takes into account ONLY 2 base, 3 base and 4 base hits, divided by the total number of times at bat and in this carnival, with a minimum times at bat.
In this Carnival, this formula was used:
(2 base hits*2+3 base hits*3+home run*4) / minimum times at bat [average of total number of times at bat for all participants]
Batting average, which is used in Major League Baseball in the United States, is counted as the number of hits (regardless of how far one hits, i.e. 3 base or home runs).
Formula: Total no. of hits / Total times at bat

Oh good to hear, good to hear.
The person who got hit in the eye was not a player but Goh Yong Hang, a PE teacher in Catholic High who was also coaching the Combined Schools Girls team! Anyway, his eye is much better now for those who are concerned!
