Delta Sports Complex, Wednesday, February 16, 2011 — Catholic High relied on the spiking prowess of captain Darius Seow to lead from start to end in their South Zone B Division boys Volleyball Championship final against Fairfield Methodist Secondary. Catholic High eventually won the game 2-0 (25-20, 25-19).

That was not to say that the game was a one-sided affair. The Fairfield boys, aided by their 300-strong crowd of vociferous supporters, nearly caught up with their opponents after falling behind by as many as 10 points in the second set.

However, Fairfield had no answer when the Catholic High team came out with winning spikes to close out the set 25-19 after a crucial time-out in the second set.

The Fairfield Methodist supporters did enjoy some cheer however when their B Division girls team defeated Cedar Girls’ Secondary 2-1 in a close game earlier for the South Zone Championship title.
