Coach Recognition Awards 2007
Saturday, 8 September 2007 at the Legends Fort Canning Park

Quek Soon Tuck received the Development Coaching Award earlier this year at the 2007 Coach Recognition Awards.

The 50-year-old coach was also a recipient of the SSC Coach Recognition Development Coaching Award (Schools) in 2006. Soon Tuck has been coaching wushu at various schools including Chung Cheng High School (Main), Victoria Junior College, Dunman High School and Manjusri Secondary School, as well as at the Singapore National Wushu Federation.

Soon Tuck's athletes did well at regional and national competitions in 2006. National Wushu exponent Goh Qiu Bin represented Singapore at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha. At the National Inter-Schools Wushu Championships, Victoria Junior College boys were first in the A Division, while Chung Cheng High School (Main) were first in both the B Division and C Division Boys competitions. Dunman High School were C Division Girls champions and came in third in the Girls’ B Division, while Manjusri Secondary School were first in the Boys’ B Division and second in the Girls’ B Division.
